The six things everyone asks.
Is this therapy?
No. It is a companion built on a counsellor's discipline, not a clinician, and it does not diagnose. If what you write sounds like a crisis, it stops and points you to a person, every time.
Does it use AI?
Yes. A language model composes the sentences. Everything that decides whether to speak, what may be said, what is noticed and what is remembered is written by hand, and the model is not allowed to decide any of it. Swap the model and you get different sentences and the same companion.
Where does my record live?
With you, and nowhere you can't see. Everything it holds about you is in one place you can open: what you said, what it noticed, and what it made of that. You can read any line and say "that isn't me", and your disagreement is kept beside the line, not underneath it. If you leave, the record leaves with you, in a form you can read without us. Nothing in it is sold, shared, or used to train anything you didn't agree to.
What does it cost?
Nothing during the invitation period. After that, a small amount each month, which you choose from a few options and can change at any time. That is the only money in it. Nothing is advertised to you, and nothing you write is ever sold.
If my employer buys it, what can they see?
A count, never a sentence. An organisation can see how many of its people used it this month and how many came back, and only when the group is large enough that no one can be picked out of it. If the number is too small to hide anyone, it sees nothing, not a smaller number. It never sees who, what anyone wrote, what was noticed about them, or anything that could be traced to a person. You choose which counts you're part of, and you can step out of any of them later. No manager gets a score for you, a flag on you, or a report about you. If an organisation asks for more than a count, the answer is no, and that answer isn't theirs to change. More on the team version.
Why is there no name on it?
So the work is read before the author. The person behind it worked as a lecturer, in triage and as a counsellor before touching code, and built this after being asked not to. Write and you will get a reply from them.
Something not here? Ask, and if enough people ask it, it joins the list.
